History

Starting from a single truck stop in Portland, Oregon in 1952, the Jubitz Corporation has evolved and changed into an international transportation services company. DAT Services, originally Dial-a-Truck, Inc., was founded in 1978, by Al Jubitz, who recognized that brokers frequently used truck stops as a way to contact drivers for hire. He developed the idea of using monitors, similar to the ones used in airports, to provide truckers with information about available loads in the area. The first monitor was installed in the Jubitz truck stop and the network gradually increased to extend up and down the I-5 corridor. DAT Services now has load monitors and callboards in over 1,100 truck stops nationwide.

From this humble beginning, DAT Services expanded its freight-matching services through a number of deliver mechanisms. Today, DAT Services provides a complete range of services via a Call Center, Fax, PC, Satellite and of course, the Internet, as well as providing support services to over 1,100 truck stops throughout North America.

An International Transportation Company

In 1999, DAT Services expanded its freight matching operations to a worldwide marketplace with the launch of EuroDAT Services. With its head office is Brussels, EuroDAT's commercial activities extend to most countries of the European Union (and soon beyond), supported by a multi-lingual, multi-cultural pan-European Call Center.
